The Waiting Game

Waiting has never been easier. Yet, what anchors you in waiting is holding onto what is true, even when unseen. It is your faith that perceives things beyond the naked eye.

What happens while waiting?

(Isaiah 66:7‭-‬9‭, ‬12‭-‬14 NLT)

1. Give birth before birth pains begin:

v7 “Before the birth pains even begin, Jerusalem gives birth to a son.”

Through the eyes of faith, see your God-given dream and let your actions speak about it. Don’t let it die down; instead, pray for it, invest in it, and give time for it.

2. Trust the process:

v8 “…Has a nation ever been born in a single day? Has a country ever come forth in a mere moment? But by the time Jerusalem’s birth pains begin, her children will be born.”

Trusting the process is a reality when you embrace it. Nothing beats perfect timing.

3. God will never bring you this far just to abandon you:

v9 “…Would I ever bring this nation to the point of birth and then not deliver it?” asks the Lord. “No! I would never keep this nation from being born,” says your God.

Trust the God who sustains and brings you this far.

4. You will become a blessing:

v12. “This is what the Lord says: “I will give Jerusalem a river of peace and prosperity. The wealth of the nations will flow to her. Her children will be nursed at her breasts, carried in her arms, and held on her lap.”

As you learn to wait and submit to the Lord, patience, perseverance, and all the fruits of the Holy Spirit will manifest. God’s blessings will be evident, causing others to be blessed.

5. There is and will be comfort:

v13 “I will comfort you there in Jerusalem as a mother comforts her child.”

In the process of waiting, God promises comfort, not an easy way. He is our only source of true comfort.

6. You will increase, and grow, and God’s favor will be evident:

v14. “When you see these things, your heart will rejoice. You will flourish like the grass! Everyone will see the Lord’s hand of blessing on his servants — and his anger against his enemies.”

When God gives instructions, there’s a promise.

Whatever He’s said he is bound to it.

Because whatever HIS words are, that’s who HE is.

In the art of waiting, I learned to embrace the unseen, trust the process, and hold onto the promises that surpass the boundaries of time.

In the stillness of waiting, our faith becomes a powerful force, birthing dreams, sustaining us through challenges, and ultimately flourishing under the hand of a faithful God.

So, in the journey ahead, may we find solace in the waiting, comfort in His promises, and joy in the anticipation of what is to come.

Every moment of patient expectation is woven with purpose, and in due season, the seeds we sow in faith will bloom into a harvest of unimaginable blessings.
